There is of course another possible reason, although I think its unlikely. The chance there is a large number of long skill trainers, that are otherwise inactive. However that's probably just Me wishful thinking as I don't want EVE to ever go away.

The numbers never lie. And this says it all. When the trend is usually an increase in log in's, one can only assume when there isn't it was a failure.
